HLP Students Explore Future Careers at Fort Belknap Career Expo
HLP High School students had an exceptional opportunity to explore potential career paths at the Fort Belknap Career Expo held at the Fort Belknap Bingo Hall. Approximately 60 of our students joined nearly 600 students from across the Hi-Line region to engage with 53 different industries offering workforce-related hands-on activities.
Students interacted with professionals from diverse fields including dental assisting, welding, Northwestern Energy, various colleges, entrepreneurs, and many more. The hands-on activities provided valuable insights into different career options and helped our students envision their futures after graduation.
Many students at HLP now have a clearer understanding of the career paths they want to pursue after graduation, thanks to the interactive format that helped them connect with potential opportunities in a meaningful way.
Each student received a backpack to collect career information and vendor items throughout the day. The event also included a complimentary lunch for all attendees.
The expo was exceptionally organized and well-attended by schools across the Hi-Line, from Browning to Malta. HLP High School extends a heartfelt thank you to all participating vendors and the organizers who made this valuable experience possible.
We look forward to more enriching opportunities like this for our students in the future!

Thunderbird Student of the Month Luncheon - April 2025
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the families and caregivers who took time out of their busy schedules to join us for our April Student of the Month celebration. Your presence made this occasion even more special for our outstanding Thunderbirds!
The luncheon provided a wonderful opportunity for families to share a meal with their students and spend quality time together in our school environment. These moments of connection and recognition are invaluable in supporting our students' educational journeys.
While we are immensely proud of all our Thunderbirds every day, these selected students deserve a special acknowledgment. Each was chosen by their class advisors based on their own unique merits – whether for making significant academic progress across all subjects, displaying an exceptional personality, being consistently helpful in class, or simply showing up daily with their best effort.

🌿 Community Service in Action! 🌿
Mr. Helgeson's classes at Hays-Lodgepole High School have taken on a meaningful community service project—beautifying the Mission Cemetery.
As part of this effort, students will be volunteering their time to clean up and care for the grounds. We are kindly asking for support from our amazing families and community members—if you have a lawn mower or weed eater you’d be willing to lend, it would make a big difference!
🛠️ Tuffy’s class will ensure your equipment is treated with care and returned in the same condition as it was received.
If you're willing to help in any way, please call the high school at 406-673-3256. Thank you for supporting our students and helping us give back to our community! 💙
