Next week, we're celebrating Dr. Seuss Read a Book Week at the elementary school! 📚
Join us as we honor the magic of reading and the beloved stories of Dr. Seuss. Students are encouraged to pick up a favorite Dr. Seuss book, share it with family, and let their imaginations run wild!

Thunderbird Weekly Schedule 2.23 - 2.28 GO THUNDERBIRDS!!

Senior Higher Education & FAFSA Night Tuesday, February 24, 2025 | 5:30 PM Business Lab Seniors and their families are invited to attend our Higher Education & FAFSA Night on Tuesday, February 24 at 5:30 PM. Johnathan Walker will be present to assist seniors with completing their higher education applications. Morgan Johnson from Aaniiih Nakoda College (ANC) will also be here to host a Family FAFSA Night and provide support with FAFSA completion. 🍽️ Food will be provided. 🎁 Students who complete their applications will receive gift cards. We encourage all seniors and their families to attend and take advantage of this opportunity for hands-on support with college and financial aid applications.

Monday, February 23 📚 Dress as a Book Character Tuesday, February 24 👕 Dress in an Outfit Inspired by a Book Wednesday, February 25 🛋️ Comfortable Reading Day Students may wear pajamas or sweats—anything comfortable to read in. Thursday, February 26 🌍 Read Your Culture Day Students and staff are encouraged to represent a story, author, or tradition connected to their culture. On this day, we will also host a guest speaker who will share stories with groups of students. Throughout the week, English/ELA teachers will carve out designated time for sustained reading in class. Students who actively participate in reading during the week will earn a reward on Thursday, February 26 in the afternoon, which will include either: Gym time to play ball, or Chill time in the library Jessica Cochran Principal HLP High School 406-673-3120

Thunderbird Family,
After careful consideration, school will be canceled on Friday, February 20 so that our students, staff, and families may support our teams competing in the district basketball tournaments.
We are incredibly proud of our student-athletes and the hard work they have put in throughout the season. This is an opportunity for our school and community to come together and show strong Thunderbird support.
The make-up day will be determined at a later date and communicated once finalized.
I hope to see many of you there cheering on our teams and representing Hays Lodgepole with pride. Go Thunderbirds!

🏀 5th/6th Grade Basketball is almost here!
Basketball season kicks off this Monday, February 23rd at 4:00 PM at Lodgepole Elementary! Boys and girls will practice together on Monday, and a full practice schedule will be available that afternoon. The game schedule will also be posted on Monday — stay tuned!
