Hays Lodgepole Students of the Month Luncheon – January 2025
Today, January 16, 2025, Hays Lodgepole High School hosted its January Students of the Month Luncheon at 12:30 PM. This event celebrated the outstanding achievements of six students who were selected by their class advisors based on their merit and unique contributions. The honored students were:
Daniel Denny
James Essert
Jacob Granados
Mitchell Grant
Taylee Messerly
Nina Fox
The luncheon was a wonderful opportunity to recognize these students for their hard work and accomplishments. Families of the honorees were invited to enjoy a free lunch provided by the school as part of the celebration. In return, families were simply asked to take a photo with their student to commemorate the occasion.
Recognizing our Students of the Month is a meaningful way to highlight the achievements of individuals who exemplify excellence in academics, behavior, leadership, or other areas defined by their class advisors. This initiative not only acknowledges the students’ efforts but also reinforces the value of striving for personal and academic growth.
Congratulations to Daniel, James, Jacob, Mitchell, Taylee, and Nina on this well-deserved honor. Your hard work and dedication inspire your peers and make our school community proud.
We look forward to continuing this tradition and celebrating the successes of our remarkable students in the months to come.
Family Game Night Recap – January 15, 2025
On Wednesday, January 15, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:45 PM, Hays Lodgepole High School hosted a lively Family Game Night in the school commons area. The event brought together 16 attendees, including students waiting for basketball practice, mothers with their children, and school employees.
Participants enjoyed a welcoming atmosphere with refreshments, including popcorn, pop, juice, water, and candy, generously provided for the evening. A wide variety of games were available to choose from, with some attendees even bringing their own favorites to share. One participant commented that the event was so enjoyable it should be held weekly.
In addition to the fun and games, the school offered donated clothing items from the Church in Bozeman for anyone in need. The combination of community engagement, generosity, and entertainment created a warm and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
The Importance of Family Game Night
Family Game Night serves as a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, foster communication, and provide insights into students’ skills, abilities, and interests. Here are some of the key benefits:
Strengthening Family Bonds: Spending time together in a relaxed and enjoyable setting allows families to connect and create shared memories.
Building Social Skills: Playing games encourages teamwork, turn-taking, and respectful communication among participants of all ages.
Discovering Talents and Interests: Parents have the chance to observe their children’s problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and creativity through gameplay.
Fostering a Sense of Community: Events like Family Game Night help bridge the gap between school and home, promoting collaboration and mutual support among families, staff, and the community.
Encouraging Fun and Stress Relief: By stepping away from daily routines, participants can relax, laugh, and enjoy quality time together.
The success of this event highlights the importance of regular family-oriented activities within the school community. Family Game Night not only brought people together but also reinforced the value of family connections and the positive impact of shared experiences.
Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed to making the evening a success. We look forward to hosting similar events in the future to continue fostering a strong sense of community and support.
